Math 6: Math 6C
Instructor: Mme Ayadi-Morales
This course is designed to teach methods and best practices in the Math curriculum and to build knowledge of the California Math Framework.  By the end of sixth grade, students will have mastered the four arithmetic operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and integers.  They apply their knowledge to statistics and probability.  They analyze data and sampling processes for possible bias and misleading conclusions.  Students conceptually understand and work with ratios and proportions; they compute percentages.  Students know about pi and the formulas for the circumference and area of a circle.  They use letters for numbers in formulas for the circumference and area of a circle.  They also solve one-step linear equations.
